On January 26, 2025, IIM BodhGaya celebrated the spirit of Republic Day uniquely. A spirit of unity and purpose echoed through the streets of Bodh Gaya as around 500 enthusiastic runners gathered for EduRun 2025, a marathon with a mission. The CSR committee of IIM BodhGaya, organized by Pragati, this 10-km run aimed to promote education in Bihar, reinforcing the belief that knowledge is the key to empowerment. The marathon kicked off at 9 AM sharp, bringing together a diverse group of participants, including students, faculty of IIM Bodh Gaya, officers from OTA and BIPARD, members of NGOs, and the young minds of Sparsh Kids. Sparsh, an initiative by Pragati, involves student volunteers teaching underprivileged children in government schools every Saturday, making this event deeply connected to their cause.
The race was not just about running but also about motivation. There were four checkpoints along the route where participants got refreshments to stay energized. As a token of appreciation, they were given free EduRun T-shirts, and their determination to move forward reflected their commitment to promoting education. More than just a competition, EduRun 2025 was a celebration of resilience, learning, and community spirit. As the participants crossed the finish line, their smiles reflected not just a personal accomplishment but also the shared goal of making education accessible to all.
With every step taken in EduRun, the message was clear: Education is a right, not a privilege, and together, we can pave the way for a brighter, more educated Bihar. As the runners crossed the finish line, their faces reflected a sense of achievement, not just for themselves but for the cause they supported. EduRun 2025 was a step towards a brighter Bihar, where education reaches every child.
