This Valentine’s Day, the students of IIM Bodh Gaya received a lovely gift—the gift of the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit or YES. The two-day summit saw a plethora of competitions, events, and learning sessions. From pitching absurd ideas to running businesses to lessons from the former Coal Secretary of India, Mr. Anil Swarup, the YES events were challenging, exciting, and enriching.
Day one saw the students impress investors with their business ideas in Pitch Perfect 6.0, manage actual stalls (and stressful interviews afterwards) in Best Manager 2.0, and present nuanced solutions to complex cases in Business Wars 4.0.
The day two flagship event, TEDxIIMBG, saw speakers like actor and director Mr. Pankaj Jha, Padma Shri recipient Mr. Jadav Payeng, Deputy CEO of Anand Rathi Wealth Limited Mr. Feroze Azeez, General Manager, HR of UNIQLO Ms. Kamalika Devi, among others who shared their life experiences with the students. During Marketing Mayhem and Fish Tank, the IPM students captivated the audience and judges with their quick thinking and captivating words.
Throughout the event, students got firsthand experience at running a profitable business at Fun Fiesta, with many walking away with thousands in profit and memories to last.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2025 was truly a thrilling event. The events combined novel ideas with deep insights and practical learning that not only ignited the entrepreneurial spirit but refined the skills of the participants, leaving them better suited to leave their mark on the Indian economy and society.
