The Girl Who Looked Pretty In Red

Hanging from the fan,
Here’s how her descent began.

It all started with a man,
Unable to stick to the plan.
Who ravaged parts of her.
As she struggled to flee,
Pain as if bones crushed under debris,
Consequences she could never foresee.

Then, what can a girl do? Except see red.
A sharp blow to his head,
Someone ended up dead.
Because in this man-eat-man reality,
Fear becomes a triviality.

She ran and ran, as it all fell apart,
From the lies that she couldn’t depart.
The person she once was, now gone,
In this new world, she didn’t belong.

But a girl so sweet and pure,
Could never kill for sure.
As everyone went into question,
Her name never even came as a suggestion.

But the sweetest of souls,
Hide the darkest of secrets.
Hate seared through her veins,
Hatred for the world that reigns.
Hatred for the smiles she entertained.

One two three, she began to count,
As bodies dropped to the ground.
She danced as their screams resonated through the halls,
As the angel of death walked through their walls.
So high on their pain,
It drove her insane.

With a little black dress, painted red,
She drowned in the screams,
Of everyone who once made her scared.

Even when drowned in bliss,
Her conscience never went amiss.
The people who bled,
Were always the first to wish her dead.
The voice in her head,
Only goodness, it pled.

But her story began as an innocent girl,
Caught in someone else’s darkness,
And even the darkest of stories,
Tend to rhyme.

Because once again she killed like clockwork,
This time, the sight had her spine chilled.
As she realized, she had gone berserk,
And the blood on her dress,
Was of an innocent in distress.

Hanging from the fan, her story begun,
An innocent girl, now a monster undone.
But hiding from the dark, under the bed,
Is easier than facing the truth ahead.
She ran and ran, but it was too late,
The person she became, was her own fate.

So she hung from the fan, as she took her last breath,
Her descent, a reminder of the darkness that she met. .
