The Enduring Bonds Of The IIMBG Family: How The ARCom Strengthens Connections

As a premier institute that has rapidly made its mark since its establishment in 2015, the Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIMBG) understands the power of relationships well. Its ability to nurture lifelong bonds between faculty, students, and alumni has become one of its defining strengths. Shepherding these crucial connections is the vital work of the members of the IIM Bodh Gaya Alumni Relations Committee (ARCom).

ARCom is a student-driven team that is guided by four tenets – “Celebrating Achievements, Nurturing Relationships, Engaging Alumni, and Enriching the Institute.” It employs creative initiatives to energize and expand the institute’s alumni community. One such initiative is the highly successful IIM Bodh Gaya Mentorship Program, which hopes to nurture connections amongst generations of alumni. It matches students with alumni to provide career guidance and industry insights. Other initiatives include the ‘Safarnama’, the first Alumni Campus Meet, and the formation of the Alumni Association. The efforts of the committee have forged stronger ties and increased alumni participation in institutional activities.

With IIM Bodh Gaya approaching its tenth anniversary in 2025, the work of the ARCom has become even more critical. The committee has several significant events and reunions planned for the same – including a campus alumni meet during ‘Elegante’ – the annual festival of the institute. The event hopes to draw the alumni back to the Bodh Gaya campus – a place they still fondly call home. The alumni are the institute’s greatest strength. Hence, the ARCom is ramping up its efforts to make the celebration truly momentous.

The IIM Bodh Gaya Alumni Relations Committee continues to work tirelessly in service of its mission. The committee understands that an institution’s success is not only derived from its exceptional faculty and bright students but also from the heartfelt love and support of its alumni network. By continuously cultivating solid relationships with graduates long after they leave its halls, IIM Bodh Gaya aims to become an exemplar institution bound tightly by community bonds.
